APW, short for Art Printing Works is a creative space for different private events / markets such as art, fashion, music, product launch and even community yoga. This space spreads a very positive energetic vibe somehow, and there’s bound to be an event or activity happening every week. It is no wonder a hot spot, where all the young and hip are, to see and be seen. Not forgetting the F&B outlets that’s also drawing the crowd in. Somehow in the past it was quite the opposite for me. I’ve been to APW a number of times but I find it way too warm during the day, that it would discourage me to even think about heading there. But since we really wanted brunch at Breakfast Thieves and thought APW was a nice place for photos, we quickly head over at 10AM before the crowd built up (and before we both turn into grumpy cats). Am I the last one to Mr Chew’s? Seems like everyone I know have been here except myself. I’ve seen a lot about this place on my social media feed, but I didn’t really know what to expect as I didn’t pay much attention to the details. If everyone raves about it, should be worth checking out right?! Once every month, we would actually explore somewhere “fancy” for dinner just to celebrate…Us. This time, it happened to be on the day of Colony’s official launch at Vipod Residences – a stylish and exclusive co-working space in the heart of city. So for us, we decided to kill two birds with one stone. Dressed up for two occasions, and they’re only about a kilometer away. Continue reading “Mr Chew’s Chino Latino Bar @ WOLO Bukit Bintang”
It was one of those rare occasions that I would be spotted in the city for lunch on a Sunday. Futhermore, it was in a mall. You know lah, some of them are always swarmed with people over weekends. To me, having meals in malls are almost always due to convenience. I’m one of those who gets agitated when there’s a long queue, and don’t deal too well with crowds. If it wasn’t because I had some shopping to do, I wouldn’t have ended up in Wild Honey, Pavilion. Continue reading “Wild Honey @ Pavilion, K.L.”

I absolutely love sashimi. But ever since the video about a raw oyster with live worms went viral, my parents have been warning me about the health risk of consuming raw fish/meat each time I speak of it. I had a major craving for sashimi last week so I asked my friend, Anisa (who enjoys raw food as much as I do 😬 ) for dinner instead. She suggested Sushiya in Plaza Mont Kiara where she’s been wanting to try. Continue reading “Sushiya @ Plaza Mont Kiara”
Don’t know what’s good around Bangsar? Here’s a list of my favourite restaurants to eat! Continue reading “Miss GetAbout’s Top 5 Favourite Restaurants In Bangsar”
My BFF can be quite a selective eater, especially when it comes to Chinese cuisine. If I ever suggest any of those common Chinese restaurants in Bangsar, she would say things like “So sien (boring), I know how to make that also lah!” or “Outside food is so unhealthy, everything contains MSG and it’s not even nice. I can cook better than that, with less salt and no sugar. We use all the high quality ingredients. Eat at home!”. Very susah (difficult) like this. I would leave it for her to decide where and what most of the time, not unless if I’m dying for a bowl of Assam Laksa. Continue reading “Shun De Gong Restaurant @ Fahrenheit 88, Bukit Bintang”
Kenny Hills Bakers is a patisserie situated in the residential area of Taman Tunku. A lush, tranquil, and quiet side of town but only minutes away from the city centre. This bakery however, was bustling amongst the peace and quiet. Crowded with those dining in or simply taking away loaves of organic artisan bread and pastries. It was nonstop busy with people coming in and out this place (possibly because it was a public holiday at the time).

Last Sunday, my dear family and I had our lunch over at Marmalade, located on the first floor of Bangsar Village II in Telawi. Marmalade is a family-friendly café serving healthy and very delicious comfort food. I am little embarrassed to say; it was only my second time eating there although it’s been around for more than a decade already. Even more so hard to believe given I’m always around Bangsar Telawi! The first was when my big brother had a craving for their famous carrot cake, while I was there
to share half the cake for a cuppa coffee. Continue reading “Marmalade Cafe @ Bangsar Village II”
