It seems like everyone’s raving about the famous lobster chain from London, Burger & Lobster that opened its doors a few months ago in SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting. My social media feed was flooded since (still is) with pictures from Burger & Lobster, literally every single week. I had been wanting to find out what was all the buzz as I really love lobsters. Plus, I haven’t been back to Genting Highlands for more than 6 years. So we took the opportunity of a long Labour Day weekend, and made plans to go up the highlands for a couple of nights to 吃喝玩樂 (eat, drink and be merry). My main itinerary was to eat that lobster!
Last Sunday, my dear family and I had our lunch over at Marmalade, located on the first floor of Bangsar Village II in Telawi. Marmalade is a family-friendly café serving healthy and very delicious comfort food. I am little embarrassed to say; it was only my second time eating there although it’s been around for more than a decade already. Even more so hard to believe given I’m always around Bangsar Telawi! The first was when my big brother had a craving for their famous carrot cake, while I was there to share half the cake for a cuppa coffee. Continue reading “Marmalade Cafe @ Bangsar Village II”
Sage Restaurant & Wine Bar is a French-Japanese nouvelle cuisine restaurant, on the 6th floor of St Giles Hotel at Mid Valley City. The restaurant has a simple clean design with tall window glasses, high ceiling, bare wooden floors, furniture and table cloths in neutral colours. It’s a good choice if you are planning for a lush date night to celebrate a special occasion with your loved ones due to its romantic ambience. Last week, I came across Nadodi restaurant from an acquaintance’s facebook page. So me being me, I (obviously) clicked on the post to check out some pictures and also the restaurant’s page. The visual images caught my attention and I couldn’t wait to try. The impatient me went to Nadodi that evening, regardless of the fact it was still their soft launch. I knew I was in for an intriguing evening as soon as I entered the restaurant. Not only because the place looked elegant, but we were also warmly welcomed and greeted by staff of Nadodi carrying amicable smiles on their faces. The newly opened DC Mall has a few very popular restaurants which might be familiar to most, namely; Erawan, Soleil, Canton Fare, and Tifin by Kumar’s Restaurant or just Kumar’s as better known by most. As of date, there’s not many outlets open, but I’m sure this mall will soon be filled up with plenty of eateries worth visiting. So for now, let’s stick to the ones that are available. The last time I remember eating at Kumar’s was more than 2 years back at their outlet in Oasis Ara Damansara which was a little far out (for me), although the food was very tasty. Now that Tifin by Kumar’s Restaurant is less than 5 minutes away from home, more reasons to savour some spicy flavourful curry. Even the sound of it entices me! Instead of my regular salad wrap and cold pressed juice after a sweat sesh at Kiara Hill on a Saturday morning, I went to Common Man CoffeeRoastersfor a try since I’ve seen some photos of this cafe on Instagram. Lucky thing it was only 2 minutes away from Kiara Hill by foot. CMCR was originally established in Singapore but now has expanded into Malaysia opening its first outlet here in TTDI Kuala Lumpur, offering a full menu (brunch up ’til dinner) and some seriously tasty coffee. Kebaya Dining Room is a restaurant that’s part of Seven Terraces Hotel along Stewart Lane, Penang serving modern Peranakan and Indo-Chinese cuisine. Each guest is served a 4 course meal at about RM120++ per pax including choices from starters, main course, vegetables and dessert. Each serving was portioned in a generous amount. I’d suggest to order different dishes and share-share with your friends, so you’ll get a variety and able try a bit of everything.
